Multi-Cloud Management Platform

Scale Engine brings your on-premises hypervisors (VMware, KVM and more) and your cloud providers into a single management plane, so you can see and control every environment from one screen.

What we deliver

  1. Full lifecycle control of VMware vSphere, KVM, Hyper-V and bare-metal environments from a single console: provisioning, scaling, snapshots and decommissioning.

  2. Unified management of AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and any other cloud provider. Provision, resize and retire resources across all accounts from one screen.

  3. One dashboard showing resource utilization, health, cost and capacity across all environments, on-prem and cloud, in real time with customizable views per team.

  4. Cross-environment cost tracking with showback/chargeback reports. Identify waste, right-size resources and forecast spend across every cloud and on-prem workload.

  5. Enforce naming conventions, tagging standards, RBAC and resource quotas consistently across all environments and manage compliance from one place.

  6. Move workloads between on-prem hypervisors and cloud providers, with support for cold migration, live migration and cloud-burst scenarios.

Operational architecture

How it works

Every engagement follows the same five steps: baseline the current state, design the target model, roll out in stages, operate it, and improve against measurements.

01

Assess

Baseline the current state, name the gaps and put the success criteria in writing.

02

Design

Architect the target operating model and the toolchain it needs.

03

Deploy

Implement, configure and validate in a staged rollout.

04

Operate

24/7 management with contracted response times and proactive monitoring.

05

Improve

Continuous improvement driven by metrics, incidents and changes in the business.

Contracted service levels

Every engagement runs under a written SLA: a commitment, not a best-effort promise.

Run by engineers

Dedicated engineers who know your stack. No generalist help-desk tier in between.

Continuous improvement

Service reviews every two weeks, roadmap updates every quarter.

The technologies we run this on

The technologies below are taken from the Eclit technology radar. The ring a technology sits in does not rate how good it is: it says how far we have taken it in our own operation.

01What does Scale Engine actually do?

It lets you manage several cloud and virtualization platforms from one interface: provisioning, inventory, cost visibility and authorization. The aim is to remove the need to keep a separate console and a separate privilege model for each platform.

02Which platforms does it support?

Public cloud providers, OpenStack, and private clouds on VMware and KVM. Adding a platform means writing a connector against its API; scope can be extended as needed.

03Does it replace our existing management tools?

Not necessarily. In most organizations it sits on top: the platforms keep their own consoles and Scale Engine provides unified inventory and cost across them. Full replacement is possible but done in stages.

04How does cost reporting work?

Resources are grouped by tag (project, department, environment) and cost is allocated to those groups. No cost tool works without tagging discipline, which is why the first step of any rollout is the tag scheme.

05How does it handle authorization?

Role-based access, integrated with your existing identity provider. Who can do what in which environment is defined in one place, and actions are logged.

Let's work out where to start
